Large-format printing business Dominion Print has invested in a new Meevo MX Event with silicone edged automated stitching (SEAS) from Soyang Hardware to strengthen its production setup and deliver more work to customers across a range of markets.

Based in Bradford in West Yorkshire, Dominion Print was founded in 1983 by Dominic Clark. Since its inception, the company has gone from strength to strength, providing a wide range of large-format printing services to customers across various markets.

Dominion Print has purchased and installed a third Meevo MX Event with SEAS to further enhance its sewing capabilities and take on more work.

Dominic Clark’s daughter Verity Fox now serves as Managing Director of the company which provides lightboxes/frames, silicone edge fabrics, dye-sublimation printing, banners, building wraps, printed flooring, photo wallpapers, point-of-sale, flags, billboards and much more to companies across the UK.

Such a diversified service offering means Dominion regularly invests in state-of-the-art machinery to ensure it can continue to deliver high quality printed output to its customers. This strategy recently led to the company taking on an additional dye sublimation printer and fixation unit, the EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340i and Monti Antonio, to further enhance its dye sublimation capabilities.

The company was already running two Meevo MX Event with SEAS sewing machines, but due to increased output from the new printer, it identified the need for a third device to further support production.

The Meevo MX Event with SEAS sewing machine allows print service providers to quickly and accurately handle and align large display textiles. It is ideal for boosting workflow without compromising on accuracy, automatically sewing SEG Keder to varying sizes of fabrics.

“We have a huge amount of capacity on our dye-sublimation side,” Director Verity Fox said. “The purchase of the FabriVU allows us to service large campaign runs alongside smaller, bespoke quantities, such as exhibition work.

“Adding a third Meevo was inevitable; it enables us to easily upskill staff whilst being fast, precise, and efficient. It also means we can use our non-automated stitching machines on the more complex finishing requirements we come across.”

Verity added that such has been the success of the previous Meevo machines that when it came to investing in the third device, which was installed in January 2024, the decision to invest in another Meevo from Soyang Hardware was easy for Dominion.

“We had two existing Meevo machines; they’re excellent pieces of kit that run effectively and are adaptable to specific requirements,” Verity said. “They allow us to reserve our standard stitching lines for more complicated projects.”

“This new Meevo will be added to our existing bank giving us three fully automated stitching lines and will fit in perfectly with our team who love using the Meevos.”

Verity also praised the support of Soyang, not only during the purchase of the machine but also during installation and after the device was up and running.

“Our experience working with Soyang was excellent from start to finish,” Verity said. “Dominion has worked with Soyang for many years, and we’re pleased to have an excellent working relationship with them.”
