Operator ease of use
The new Acuity Ultra R2 incorporates design elements that have been implemented to save time, so more jobs can be processed, but also to make day-to-day printing easier for the operator. LED and UV curing options
The Acuity Ultra R2 series is available in 3.2m or 5m formats, with the option of either LED or UV curing. There are both technical and commercial benefits for each curing option, and while it is widely understood that LED curing consumes less energy, UV lamps are needed to achieve block-free high speed curing at the very highest speeds that the dual CMYK version in the range operates at. The Acuity Ultra R2 has a whole host of features to maximise your productivity and quality
High-quality, high-performance printheads
Greyscale printheads deliver 3.5pl native drop sizes up to 1200x1200 dpi resolution, making use of 2,656 nozzles arranged across a width of 108mm.
High performance Uvijet GS and AU inks
New, high density inks deliver superb colour vibrancy and a wide colour gamut. Excellent inter-coat laydown produces solid backlit colours and prints. The ink also does not exhibit cracking when folded due to the low ink build.
Water-cooled vacuum table
A unique chilled vacuum table maintains the substrate temperature while printing and allows the use of thin heat-sensitive substrates, reducing media shrinkage and wrinkling.
Consistent and reliable media transport system
Two pairs of rubberised rollers both front and back deliver a consistently accurate media feed and provide consistency over long print runs or when accuracy is needed for tiled applications.
Media crash detectors to prevent printhead damage
The carriage is equipped with media crash detectors on either side. These react to obstructions on the vacuum table to stop the carriage and prevent damage to the printheads.
Ink spitting to minimise machine downtime
