At Soyang Europe we pride ourselves on the quality and variety of our digital print materials and our selected partners each bring something unique to the Soyang mix. We’ve had a strong and long-standing relationship with Endutex and as part of our ongoing programme of staff development, the newest members of the sales team – Ella and Vicky spent a few days out in Portugal getting to know the European leaders in coated technical textiles.

Founded in 1970, Endutex has long been recognized as a prominent producer of technical textiles, with a focus on the production of PVC, Polyurethane, Acrylic and Silicone coated textiles. Endutex’s owner, Vitor Abreu, Export Manager, Luis Ribeiro and Sales Director, Rui Pedro Silva recently spent some time with Ella and Vicky, giving them a tour of the factory as well as introducing them to some of the sites in Porto. It’s incredibly important that our team understands how all our materials are produced and the full supply chain, which allows them to provide high quality customer service to all Soyang’s customers. Ella and Vicky learnt that Endutex has a fully vertical production capability, from knitting and weaving, to coating, finishing and on to distribution, along with a laboratory and application centre for testing and research and development, which is what keeps them ahead with technical and industrial development.

During their exploration around Porto, Vicky and Ella were able to see Endutex material in use, such as the Mesh MS-55 being used to cover over a huge piece of scaffolding. Getting insight like this is paramount for the whole Soyang team, but especially for Ella and Vicky, being new to the industry. By understanding how the products can be used and what they’re capable of, we can pass that onto our customers to help them grow their own businesses.

Endutex is ISO9001 certified and all the materials it manufactures are REACH compliant. The company’s headquarters and main production site are located in Porto, producing a whopping 20 million square metres of material each year. They also have a further production site in the south of Brazil adding a further 7 million square metres of material to the company’s annual output. For the digital printing industry, Endutex has plenty to offer; PVC and PVC free coated materials, both indoor and outdoor applications, a whole range of 100% recyclable green products without phthalates, widths up to 5m and compatibility with a wide variety of inks including solvent, UV, latex and sublimation. That’s a pretty impressive offering!

Another important element of Endutex’s production process that Ella and Vicky were able to find out about was the knife coating process along with the different weaving patterns and their uses. I think they were both pretty fired up when they got to see the new developments taking place within Endutex’s research!

We distribute a substantial number of materials from Endutex’s collections including Terratex and Recytex (green solutions for indoor applications, Sublitex (for direct and transfer sublimation applications), the X collection (with very distinctive features for speciality applications like floor coverings and backdrops), Walltex (wall covering solutions) and the Print Collection (complete range of PVC materials including frontlit, backlit, mesh blockout and truck).

We encourage anybody who is curious about digitally printable materials to get in touch and speak to one of our experienced and knowledgeable team.
