High-performance cutting with a space-saving folding design
The Keencut Evolution3 SmartFold is designed for busy print and sign production environments where cutting speed, accuracy and workspace flexibility are essential.
Combining the precision of the Evolution3 range with an integral cutting strip and folding mechanism, the SmartFold can be quickly lowered to clear the workbench when it is not in use. It can then be returned to its cutting position within seconds, allowing the same bench to support other production and finishing tasks.
Fast, accurate material finishing
The Evolution3 SmartFold can cut up to four times faster than cutting materials manually. Its guaranteed cutting accuracy of within 0.2mm across the full cutting length helps operators produce straight, consistent edges while reducing errors, reprints and wasted material.
The integrated sightline strip clearly indicates where the cut will be made, making printed graphics and sheet materials easier to position before cutting. This level of accuracy is particularly useful when preparing adjoining panels that need to align cleanly.
Simple single-person operation
Keencut’s Lift-and-Hover system allows the cutter bar to be raised and lowered so that it sits just above the material. This gives one operator the freedom to position and align media before engaging the clamping bar.
An anti-sag mechanism keeps the cutter bar parallel across the full cutting length, including on the longest 3.6m model, helping maintain accurate alignment across wide materials.
Integral cutting strip
The SmartFold includes an integral polymer cutting strip for use with the optional Fabric tool head. This removes the need for a separate cutting mat when working with textiles, paper, film and other delicate materials.
Push-button controls at each end of the cutter allow the strip to be moved between four cutting lines, helping extend its usable life.
QuikSwap tool head flexibility
Keencut’s QuikSwap system allows compatible tool heads to be attached or removed within seconds, enabling the SmartFold to support cutting, scoring, creasing and textile finishing applications.
The system is supplied with a Double Graphik tool head featuring two individual blade holders. This allows the operator to cut in either direction without removing or repositioning the tool head.
Optional tool heads include the Fabric tool head for textiles and delicate materials, the Creaser tool head for paper, card and greyboard, and the Rocker tool head for general-purpose cutting and occasional aluminium composite panel finishing.
Wide material compatibility
The Evolution3 SmartFold can cut corrugated cardboard, PVC foamboard, corrugated plastic and foam-centred board up to 13mm thick.
It is also suitable for banners, self-adhesive vinyl, magnetic sheets, display film, pop-up graphics, wallpaper, tissue paper and textiles. Cast acrylic up to 3mm can be scored, while aluminium composite panel up to 3mm can be cut occasionally using the optional Rocker tool head and appropriate blade.
